  • Health and Fitness Data: Data related to physical activities, exercise history, health status, injuries, and other fitness-related information users share or track within the App.

  • Usage Data: Information related to user interactions with the App, including session times, features used, device type, location, and technical details like IP addresses and browser information.

  • Account Information: Data that helps us maintain and secure user accounts, including authentication details and preferences.

2. Purpose of Data Retention

HomeFit collects and retains data to provide the best experience for our users, improve our services, comply with legal obligations, and ensure the security and functionality of the App. This policy applies to all data that is collected from users, including personal information, health-related data, usage data, and other information provided through user interactions with the App.

3. Data Retention Period

HomeFit will retain personal data for the duration of your active use of the App and for a specified period thereafter as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. Retention periods are determined based on the following criteria:

  • Active Accounts: User data will be retained as long as the account is active, i.e., the user continues to access and use the App. If the account is not used for 12 consecutive months, it may be considered inactive.

  • Inactive Accounts: If an account remains inactive for 12 months or longer, HomeFit will send a notification to the user informing them of the potential deletion of their data. If no action is taken, the account and associated data may be deleted.

  • Legal and Compliance Requirements: Certain data may be retained for longer periods to comply with legal or regulatory requirements, such as financial records, health-related data, or contract-related information.

  • Deletion Requests: Users may request deletion of their data at any time, subject to legal requirements or business needs. Once a deletion request is processed, personal data will be removed, unless retention is required by law.

4. Data Deletion

Users have the right to request the deletion of their personal data from HomeFit’s systems. Upon account termination or request, HomeFit will take reasonable steps to erase user data, except when:

  • HomeFit has other legitimate business reasons to retain certain data.

Once user data is deleted, it will no longer be accessible through the App or in any other HomeFit systems. However, certain logs, backups, or anonymized data may persist for a limited period for operational or compliance purposes.
